outside the classroom is just like WOW FUCK MAN!!!!!!! these little melodies made my day, believe me! these moments of "pattern-speed playing" were not bad at all, its so rare that people achieve to make them work well so BIG UP! i also enjoyed "its all over then". The whole rhythm in it is so fun, is like a snake jumping all around (yea try to figure out that). Thats a nice coming back in my humble opinion. I would only suggest you to add some more tiny variations to the beat patterns in the future (yeah well well, you know, i dun ask you to make each patterns something different, i'll handle that job )

Its all over then
The ep opens up with this easy smooth riding track... with some nice scrathin n mooth melodies and really funky beats.. I enjoy the rich atmosphere you have managed to create and the track has a relaxed feel to it. The way meldies work and entwine with each other sets the tone for the entire ep...
nice opening track.
Lone Teenage Jam
Giutar work hat has been slightly messed with in terms of effects sets another interestng atmosphere with these synths that support the guitar that arent too obvious and lend them selves more to an almost sad or sombre atmosphere.... the beat is of no real concern in this track. What I enjoy the most is the way you have managed to give the sounds an almost aged feel to them... Like this take was found in some basement somewhere. The woman's voice is the perfect fit. So far this album reminds me heavily of boards of canada. It talks of nastolgic times, times long gone. I dont like the garbled voice that then penetrates the track...
people dont like that one
what is coming through in this entire album is a very analogue sound... it does not seem electronic but more like a live band jamming away with obvious electronic help. There is a nice contrast in this track of one instrument vs another as it swicthed sides between the two... I love the muted drums in this track. They are there but not there. I felt the sattic/distortion that seems to wash over the track could have come in slower and played a better role for longer. IE the track was too short for me
outside the classroom another easy track... filled with the atmosphere that has been creeping through the ep. Man this is sooo much like Boaords of Canada, but where Boards is more abbrasive in their sound you have managed to smooth that out alot more. This track has some damn fine meldoy work in it like the rest. I think the production is killer too... the sound you have manged to achieve throughout all tracks is perfect... The staggered effect you create at times in this track is cool too.
Overall the entire EP is great. I dont think you have reached your fullest potential but this EP gives me a view of what is to come and I can only say its gonna be farking brialliant when it does come... The melody work and the scrathin and staggering is well done... This in my oppinion is pure atmosphere... and in that respect you score 10/10. I came out of this one thiking of my past life...
My only worry is it had 4 tracks instead of 8 or 10... but even then its not a real problem.
Thanks for sharing it Nofold.

wow thank you very much guys You can't imagine how much this is appreciated. Kaneel : I know you are the master of clicky unrepetitve beats, I can't compete with you... Vowthorn thanks again for your detailed reviews. Boards of Canada is one of my favourite bands but I'm surprised you made the comparison. I think BOC are way more psychedellic. But hey I won't mind you comparing me with bands I love..

I am not sure what you mean, but if you mean software synths, that's quite it I only use Modplug Tracker and VSTs instros and effects.. Maybe I'll buy some more equipement if I'm getting rich.. one day.. hopefully..
