Is anyone capable of making music videos, and would they be of good enough quality to get published by a netlabel? ? I had this music video business in mind for a while, a couple years even. But it's just lately, last 2 weeks ago or so that I put myself into action, and started with Microsoft Movie Maker 2 and then got pissed because it bombed as soon as I added effects, and lost my work too many times. So I tried Adobe Premier Pro 7. assembled my vid and sent a copy to BotB! I got a hugely appreciated response by him and from others like Jace, JMTM and LoneStar. So I am wondering, shouldn't we get into this shit now that we gone so damn far in music making? 33

I've made a shitty video once. It was a short looped film of me walking for a distorted repetitive beat made using an Olympus camera. It was just a test really and the verdict was that 12 frames per second is not good enough for a video.
A better camera and a more experimental and atristic approach would maybe be a great idea. If uderground music can beat the crap out of commercial muzak than who's to say some nobody could make the best damn video ever.

Video work aint easy...
At my work they do a lot of video work but they use macs and a package called Final Cut Pro.
Adobe Premier is cool and if ya really want kick ass effects Adobe After Effects is also pretty cool but the problem is all these products cost so much cash... but then not on other sources on the net.
Would certainly be cool if a net label does release some kind of music vid.

Ya but why do people have to look at the top of the food chain when it regards new things like music video on the scene. Like, think of the "wild compos" in the demoscene, a music video is more or less the same IMHO. And I don't mind doing amateur like vids myself.

suffer for your art make your own video all you need is a decent camera (4megapixel or more) and 24 photos for each second of your video it's hard but it's art Slightly offtopic, my friend did such a thing with his camera, and a bunch of lego toys. it kicksed ass but was paiiiinfull to do. I'm supposed to slap some music onto it an then we'll upload it to some amateur videos n cartoons sit. dun ask which one i forget. but i'll be sure to spam

i really love working on music videos and have done a few projects in the past. the latest was a longer video for projecting at a live show ... it was called "just so we can remember" and had us colon pipe boys being sad ... then finding each other, then playing in the missisipi rivier (FILTHY). the video was about 25 total!!! we were planning on doing a much trimmed down version for release on the internet, but it hasn't happened yet. that was using adobe's premier pro. before that i did a 3d animation for another band, this i have encoded somewhere and could share. i'm proud of it ... maya and premier on that. i've done flash animations with sound, but not necessarily music videos. i think most of the flash "Art" on the web sucks hard, to be blunt. it was barely funny the first time before that i was doing music videos to my weird haiku songs i was making in impulse tracker and player pro ... i think at that point i was using some video editing software on macintosh, this was in school. those were really fun, i WISH i had them somewhere! maybe i do ... ~sigh~ i'd like to work on videos again ... i might get vegas video, i've heard it's a KILLER music sequencer/ video editing application, sekret weapon style. otherwise i guess i'll stick to premire. actually lately i've been doing a lot of video loops with sound, just using my digital camera. you can find one on floppyswop: www.floppyswop.co.uk/files/media/floppyswop-co-uk--eq_-_finger_shit.rarfloppyswop said: "strange 4 second close up finger video, played best in a loop forever, internet culture is hell. " for the future ... overthruster has a video camera to use ... as do a few other friends of mine ... everything i do is amature, but that doesn't mean it's isn't the best
