I have a track called "Close The Door" which is featured on Yomi 080 release. For some reason, and at the time I am writing this, I have 155 downloads for the first 4 days of september. Now I have absolutely no clue why I get so many downloads. This is beating anything I have ever seen in downloads on scene.org, even the Kahvi and Camomille ones. So I am asking any knowledged person out there: Is it possible to find from where the downloads originate? I looked through google and can't find what is causing all these downloads. Please help!!!! Here is the download link: www.scene.org/file.php?file=%2Fmusic%2Fgroups%2Fyomirecords%2Fyomi080_14_closethedoor-33.mp3&fileinfo

Scene.org doesn't give any info on the origins of downloads.. and.. from wot I see from the site's stats.. the downloaders have all accessed the file either through a direct link or through browsing scene.org as there are no 155 visitors .. Weird.. but cool

i'm sorry to say 33, but botb beat that record many a time. for some reason, random botb tracks get like 1000 downloads in the middle of the month. So the thinner/kahvi filled scene org top100 suddenly had a quiet little bomb amidst them. FUN.

that is because botb has sources and ways to spam everything like an atomic explosion. That is probably the big difference but who gives a fuck about how many times your tracks have been downloaded? i sure don't

wherever he gets those downloads from, he finds a way to get them heard. Just now the yomi bucketmouse and fluffy bunny track is in the scene org top 20. fah, no downloads arent pertinent for the artist, but for the label owner they are. they prove if you're doing a good job or not

Oh btw, now that track doesn't get the downloads that it had, it fell back at the same level as the other tracks from the YR080 release which I consider normal. I was mosly interested in knowing the source of the downloads, like which net mag or link it came from. I never got the answer and so screw that, no biggie.

Since when is Fah in yomirecords?" They only like, knew me from Ronin and they thought i was an artist there

Kaneel, i DID know you were on camomille because i look further then other peolpe care to look. well i've been in the kinda state alot of composers have been, the state where you just want to give the fuck up composing. Like mr. Snares said before, the whole music scene is a big pissing contest. Perhaps he said that about the IDM-scene, but trust me, the whole scene is fuckin the same. Why are we still making music anyway? Biiiiiiiig example: I realized, while working on my Hellven ALS addition, that it was actually the stupidest thing i ever competed to. Seriously, i don't know who are going to be the judges in the end, but i hope they are hounest. Damnit man, just think about it.... You're making this album, you worked hard on it, it took you long in coming up with tracks etc, and then you end up fucking in the back of the list because people prefer an artist they know! An artist that makes gay ambient or the loudest stuff that can be made (botb ). Anyone want to bet that botb will be more then 5 places above me in the list at the end? Why? because they know him. Because he makes raw, kickass shit. Arists above him will probably make gay-ambient. Why not a style that is somewhere inbetween for example? Is it my artist name, or my reputation, or what? So thats why i hope the judges are going to be hounest, and not a bunch of O-ring-nibblers that don't know how to listen to music properly. Really, i just don't know why i'm still making music. I don't really care what people think of my music though, since i do it because i like doing it, and i make music mostly for my own pleasure... But if no one knows you or want to know you, then why still make music? Thats the end of my rantings... for more information, please kill all fucking IDM-piss-gay-fucking-people (you know how to recognise them) ---EOF
